Located at Burnie on the North West Coast of Tasmania, Bundara Nursery has been in operation since 1999. It is situated in a unique setting forming part of a large country garden which has been developed over the past 30 years featuring many of the plants available in the nursery.
The nursery is a small family business catering for new gardeners just getting started as well as those seeking hard to find and collectable rare trees and shrubs.
Our extensive list often has as many as 50 varieties of Japanese Maples and new varieties of Trees and Shrubs, Rhododendrons, Vireya Rhododendrons and Conifers.
We also have a number of perennials, bulbs and clivias.
The North West Coast of Tasmania offers the best temperate gardening conditions in Australia and allows the planting of a diverse range of plants from semi-tropical to temperate rain forest.
Many of our plants were originally sourced by collectors from China and South America.
Depending on availability and demand we replace our plants on a regular basis.
A large selection of our plants are sourced from Yamina Rare Plants in Victoria and we obtain plants not currently on our list for customers.
Their web site list can be viewed at www.yaminarareplants.com.au We invite customers to view our garden and we look forward to your patronage.
